As a lover of tea, I was beyond excited to attend a Tea Party with The Republic of Tea and famed author, Alexander McCall Smith. You may recognize the name Alexander McCall Smith from the wonderful book series, The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (now in its thirteenth entry), which HBO made into TV series starring Jill Scott.
If you've read any of the The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency books, you'll notice there are lots of scenes where the characters drink tea, so it was no surprise to hear of the collaboration between the amazing tea powerhouse, The Republic of Tea and Alexander McCall Smith's The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Books on a new collection of teas inspired by the book called The No. 1 Ladies Tea, all of which are available now:
97 Per Cent Citrus Ginger Bush Tea - Made of 97 per cent green rooibos and 3 percent red rooibos and is flavored with the tang of fresh citrus and a little kick of spicy ginger. This was my favorite mainly because I love ginger. This refreshing tea is also amazing as an ice tea and with a splash of vodka or rum.
