Toasting The Oscars and National Margarita Day w/ Powell & Mahoney

The day of the Oscars is officially upon us but it’s also National Margarita Day. What do you do when two cocktail-worthy events happen on the same day? You celebrate them both of course. Powell & Mahoney, the first all-natural, hand-crafted, vintage original Cocktail Mixers, bring you two delicious cocktail recipes to capture the essence of both the Oscars (with a cocktail made with Powell & Mahoney’s True Grenadine, an all-natural blend of pomegranate juice and orange blossom), and National Margarita Day (with a cocktail made with Powell & Mahoney’s Jalapeño Margarita Mix, a unique mix of fire roasted Jalapeño’s and crisp lime juice). First the Oscars: celebrities won’t be the only ones giving spice on the red carpet today. You too can enjoying your own bit of spicy fun with this peppery cocktail:

Crimson Pepper Martini

1 oz. pepper-infused vodka
Powell & Mahoney True Grenadine
½ a lime juice
Shake the pepper-infused vodka, a few drops of Powell & Mahoney True Grenadine, and the lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lime slice or a hot pepper.

We continue on to more spice to celebrate National Margarita Day, by sharing this Margarita recipe that brings the heat. It may be winter but this two-ingredient cocktail will warm you up from head to toe.

Roasted Jalapeño Margarita

Powell & Mahoney Roasted Jalapeno Margarita
100% Blue Agave Blanco Tequila
In a shaker, mix equal parts Powell & Mahoney Roasted Jalapeno Margarita mixer, and the blue agave blanco tequila. Shake and strain over ice into a Margarita or Old Fashioned glass. Garnish with a lime wedge.

We hope these two delicious cocktail recipes will make your day of dual celebrations an even more more enjoyable one. We know we’re going to have fun.
